Adult Stage

An adult spider is sexually mature and ready to mate. Adult spiders may live about one to two years in many species, though some live much longer.

Some sources count it separately because it is such an important part of early growth. That choice can make the spider life cycle sound longer than it really is.

When A Young Spider Becomes Juvenile

A young spider becomes juvenile after it hatches and starts growing, usually during repeated molts. At this point, it is no longer an egg or a newly hatched spiderling, yet it is not fully adult either.
