After hatching, the young spider is called a spiderling. Spiderlings often look like tiny adults.

Spiderlings molt several times. Each shed lets the body get bigger as the new shell hardens.

From Juvenile Spider To Adult Spider

People often use juvenile spider and spiderling to mean nearly the same thing, since both describe a spider that is not yet fully grown. As the spider gets larger and keeps molting, it becomes a juvenile spider and then an adult spider.

Adult spiders reach sexual maturity and are ready to mate. In many species, adults live long enough to repeat the cycle, but the exact lifespan depends on the species and habitat.
