Ambush predators like crab spiders wait still and use camouflage to blend into flowers or leaves. Their vision helps them judge when prey gets close enough for a quick strike, while their body shape and color keep them hidden.

Active Ground Hunters in Daylight and Dusk

Wolf spiders and jumping spiders move around more and often hunt in daylight or at dusk. This lifestyle rewards better depth judgment, sharper forward vision, and strong motion detection.
